Project full title: Creating synergies between research infrastructures to stimulate innovation in the cross-border region

Acronym:  RIAT-CZ

Duration:  1st September 2016 – 29th February 2020

Main Project goal:  To prepare and validate a sustainable model of cross-border collaboration of research infrastructures (RI) in the field of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology that will ensure:  

  • Effective exploitation of complementary equipment and expertise,
  • Accessibility and promotion of the cross-border RI for regional users, both academic and industrial.

Specific goals 

1. Improved knowledge on managing RI and expertise in providing services

  • Through seminars, workshops and staff exchanges of the project partners

2. Innovation of services through joint use of cross-border complementary equipment

  • Pilot projects leading to improvement or development of new services/devices

3. Enabling access to RI for external users

  • Recruitment of new users, raising awareness of the RI in the region
  • Providing open access to the new or improved services
  • Seminars and workshops for external users
