Events planned within the frame of RIAT-CZ project are divided into two categories:
1. Workshops for internal users aimed at exchange of best practices and know-how and identification of most promising potentials of specific collaboration.
2. Training for external users to transfer of the joint knowledge and expertise of the project partners to the regional research audience.
Registration for external users will be announced and available after clicking on the respective event here:
3 May 2019, Vienna, Austria
13 June 2019, Vienna, Austria
The APPN initiative aims to unite the Austrian plant phenotyping community in order to facilitate research collaborations, development of plant phenotyping infrastructure and methodologies, staff training, staff exchange and networking activities.
About the topic of the meeting: New sensors and algorithms are increasing the possibilities of plant traits accessible to phenotyping. Data availability on different scales – from single plants to ecosystems – is rapidly increasing. Expectations are thus high that phenotyping will open new ways for basic plant research, plant breeding, agricultural management and environmental protection. A key for advance is the interaction between plant, technical and mathematical sciences. The conference will link researchers, developers and users, in order to present the state-of-the art and discuss future chances and requirements to plant phenotyping.
